Margaret Bertens (Miller)
MARG BERTENS

Margaret Ann Bertens, 60, of RR1, St. Marys passed away peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2018 after battling breast cancer.

Beloved wife of Ade Bertens. Loving mother of Marissa McKee (Tom) and Braden Bertens (Emily). Cherished grandmother of Nora McKee. Dear daughter of the late Ross (2010) and Agnes Miller (2011). Dear sister of John Miller. Dear daughter-in-law of Gerry and Annie Bertens. Dear sister-in-law of Hank Bertens (Nancy), Marlene Maguire (Jim), Nancy Hulshof (Vince), Larry Bertens (Janice), and Trish McComb (Dale). Lovingly remembered by her aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marg was an extraordinary woman. She was described as an energizer bunny, always hard working and keeping busy. She was well known for her baseball skills, her huge vegetable/fruit garden and amazing cooking. Marg loved beach days, reading, spending time with family and friends, laughing and wearing a smile on her face. She was the most loving and caring person, devoted wife, supportive mother and friend, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Knowles officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Avonbank Cemetery.
