OLIVE HOPPENRATH
Olive Hoppenrath, 99, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Sunday, November 19, 2017.
Beloved wife of the late Edwin Hoppenrath (2005). Dear mother of Doris McLean (Ron) of Monkton and Roger Hoppenrath (Angie) of New Hamburg. Dear mother-in-law of Marie Brohart (Vern) of Quadville and Doug McEwen of Monkton. She will be missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Bill Osborn (Ruth), Phyllis Young, Shirley Stahlke (Arden) and Betty Kemp. Dear sister-in-law of Ted MacDonald. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Wesley and Mabel Osborn, son Eldon Hoppenrath (1998), daughter Berniece McEwen (2017), brother Edward Osborn (Betty), sisters Ida Steinbach (Carl), Della Shilling (Russ Pfeifer, Don Shilling), Marjorie Rock (Ed), Edna Wood (George), Audrey MacDonald, Mildred Sandercott and brothers-in-law Gordon Young, Mike Lowther and Elmer Hoppenrath.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Dunbar officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment in Woodland Cemetery, Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
