Obituary for Maurice Ernest "Moe" Shewburg
MAURICE SHEWBURG
Maurice "Moe" Shewburg, 68, of Mitchell passed away in the late evening of Friday, September 15, 2017 at home with the love of his family surrounding him.
Caroline's husband for almost 39 years and proudest dad of Kent and Blake. He loved sports in every season, but couldn't bring himself to support anything emanating from Toronto. How will the Montreal Canadiens make it through another season without their most loyal fan! He was always keenly interested in the lives of all of his son's friends and he will be fondly remembered by his siblings, their families and all of Caroline's family.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all of the first responders who were so kind.
As an expression of thanks, there will be an informal gathering of friends and neighbours at the St. Vincent de Paul Church Hall on September 30th from 2-4 pm, to share in fellowship and remembrance of Moe.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to any hospice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation may be made at www.LockhartFuneralHome.com.
