LORNE FELL

Lorne Wilbert Fell, 85, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, February 2, 2018.

Beloved husband of Helen Fell. Dear father of Sharon Fell Dunsmore (Bob) of St. Pauls, Roger Fell (Jennifer) of Staffa, Joyce Hollenbaugh (Bryan) of Gaylord, Michigan and Pauline Fell of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of Andrew, Spencer and Nicholas Dunsmore, Darren, Nathan, Alex, Ryan, Jason and Stephen Fell. Dear brother of Lois Walden (Glen) of Lucknow. Dear brother-in-law of Donna Zaza of London and Mary Hood of Monkton. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Bert and Penelope (Worden) Fell, father-in-law and mother-in-law Sam and Edna (Hinks) Horn, brothers-in-law Arnold Alton, Fred Zaza and Wayne Hood, nieces Mary Alton and Amanda Hood, nephews Joseph Hood and Matt Ebel.

Lorne farmed all his life at Rosebank Seed Farms Ltd. at Staffa and was especially proud of winning 23 World Championships in grain and beans at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. He and his wife Helen enjoyed attending many dances in the community over the years.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Dave Williams officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment in Staffa Cemetery. Memorial donations to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
