Helma Luyten, 55, of RR2, Gadshill passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, December 8, 2016.

Beloved wife of Greg Luyten. Dear mother of Helena Luyten (Brad Loggan), Kathy Luyten (Dave Firmin), Stephanie Luyten and John Luyten (Dianne). Loving "Oma" to Kimberly. Dear daughter of Bill and Gerarda Toonen. Dear sister of Bert Toonen (Lin), Pete Toonen , Corenia Kemp, Willy Toonen (Lia) and John Toonen (Patti). Dear daughter-in-law of John Luyten. Dear sister-in-law of Marianne Van Esbroeck (Ed), Ed Luyten (Lucy), Peter Luyten (Margaret), Ken Luyten (Marlene), Rob Luyten (Michelle) and Patricia Bader (Andy). Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her mother-in-law Maria Luyten, sister-in-law Debbie Toonen and Goddaughter Jaclyn Van Esbroeck.

Helma was active in her community and always enjoyed helping others.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Kinkora on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clare Coleman - celebrant. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at www.LockhartFuneralHome.com.
