BERT MEGENS

Bert Megens, 80, of Mitchell passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Beloved husband of Tonie Megens. Dear father of Johnnie Megens, Robert Megens (Colleen) , Tonette Megens (Stuart), Jackie Megens (Jerry), Mathew Megens (Jennie) and Jozie Megens (Tiffany). Loving grandfather of Andrew, Stephanie, Emily, Mia, Madeleine, Chloe, Molly, Michael, Marilyn and Charlotte. Cherished great grandfather of Lucas, Evelyn and Tyler. Dear brother of Tony Megens, Bill Megens (Gwen), Mary Brant (Clair) and Andy Megens (Pam). Lovingly remembered by the de Groot family and his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents John and Maria Megens, brother John Megens and sister Wilhelmina de Groot.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mitchell on Thursday at 11 am with Rev. Clare Coleman - celebrant. Spring interment in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Memorial donations to L.H.S.C. Foundation or Stratford General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and may be made at www.LockhartFuneralHome.com.
