Obituary for Troy Laub
TROY LAWRENCE LAUB
Troy Lawrence Laub, 18, of Clinton ON, passed away April 18th, 2023, as a result of a Diabetic complication.
He was born November 10th, 2004, in New Westminster British Columbia, the son of Adam and Alánna (Gowan) Laub. Troy moved to Huron County with his family in 2015 and attended both public school and highschool in the area where he made many memories and cherished experiences. After school he went on to work at Bayfield Brewing (Bayfield ON), Huron Perth Health Care Alliance (Clinton ON), and Riverview Park Residence (Listowel ON).
Troy was a young man with many talents and interests. He enjoyed computers, gaming, and spending time with friends. He also collected dice, was involved in the dramatic arts as a member of Studio 410 and loved to travel. He loved sci-fi and like his father and grandfather before him was a “Trekkie”. However, perhaps what was most special about Troy and is most noteworthy among his interests… was his interest in others.
Troy genuinely wanted to know you and he worked hard to make sure you knew it. He was a joker at times, and he loved to bring laughter to a room if it was needed. Yet he could also be seen regularly talking with older ones, helping them to a vehicle or just listening to a tale. He had many dear friends that could well have been his grandparents. He loved people. Those who knew him well have his huge smile permanently etched in their memory.
Troy is survived by his parents Adam and Alánna of Clinton, along with his sister Logan and his twin sister Talon. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Larry and Laurie Fleischauer of Seaforth, Mike Laub Sr. of Listowel; and his maternal grandparents Randy and Charmaine Gowan of Seaforth. In addition to these he is survived by his great-grandmother Grace Robins of Seaforth, and his arrière-grand-mère (great-grandmother) Fluer-ange “Flo” Desgroseilliers. Troy is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.
Troy's funeral service will take place at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
