SEBASTIAAN (GENE) VERHOEVE
Sebastiaan (Gene) Verhoeve, 94, of Mitchell, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 2, 2022 at the Ritz Lutheran Villa. Beloved husband of the late Annie (Leenaars) Verhoeve. Dear father of Linda (David) Rolph, Bill (Susan) Verhoeve, John Verhoeve, Robert (Shirley) Verhoeve, Kathy (Don) Marriott, Diane (Steve) Ritz and Stephen (Carla) Verhoeve, and daughter-in-law Anne Verhoeve; loving grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; dear brother and brother-in-law of, Annie Verhoeve, Dien Van Oorschot, Bertha Verhoeve, Jan Leenaars, Ria Verhoeve, Tonny (de Laat) Marynissen, Wim (Tiny) Verhoeve, Antoon (Diny) Verhoeve and Thom Ligthart.
Predeceased by his parents Wilhelmus and Adriana (Brenders) Verhoeve, son Andy Verhoeve, brothers Kees Verhoeve, and Janus Verhoeve, sisters Willie Verhoeve, Jeanne Verhoeve, To Verhoeve, Riet Leenaars, and Corrie Ligthart, and brother-in-law Jan Van Oorschot.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday, December 5, 2022 for a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul, Mitchell, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre.
