RONALD PENNINGS
Ron Pennings, 67, of Mitchell went home to be with his Lord and Saviour peacefully with his wife by his side at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Beloved husband of Marilyn. Dear father of Jeff Pennings (Jennifer), Chris Pennings (Lindsay), Tim Pennings (Ashley) and Greg Pennings (Amanda). Loving grandfather of Janelle, Kyle, Braeden, Grace, Lyla, Caleb, Olivia, Aiden, Carson, Peyton, Lucas and Myles. Dear son of Gerda Pennings and the late Henk Pennings. Dear brother of Herb Pennings, Frank Pennings (Adriana), Joanne Fousert (Frank), Linda Brouwer (Allan), Diane Postma (Rick), and Lucy van Eyk (John). Fondly remembered by his father-in-law Martin Guichelaar. Dear brother-in-law of Linda Pol (Jim), Joan Luiting (Martin), and Brian Guichelaar (Laurie). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother-in-law Gary Vandenbrink, sister-in-law Wilma Pennings and mothers-in-law Gesina Guichelaar and Karen Vandersleen.
Ron was a member of the Free Reformed Church of Mitchell.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Those attending the visitation are asked to schedule a time online at LockhartFuneralHome.com or by calling the funeral home at 519-348-8643. The funeral service will be held at the Free Reformed Church of Mitchell, 6011 26 Line, West Perth on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in Bethel Munro Cemetery.
