Renee Meinen, 86, of Mitchell went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, July 16, 2022 after a brief illness.
Beloved wife of the late John Meinen (2001). Dear mother of Angela DeWeerd (John), Joanne Salverda (Ed), Fran Timmermans (John), Arlene Bouwmeester (Brian), Brenda Diehl (Doug), Ian Meinen (Cheryl), Marilyn Meinen (Kris), Brad Meinen (Sharon), Dave Meinen (Jenny), Helen Elliott (Chris) and Sharon Leegstra (Rob). Loving grandmother of 41 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Dear sister of John Kroesbergen, Brand Kroesbergen (Aafke) and Gerald Kroesbergen (Johanna). Dear sister-in-law of Jane Kroesbergen, Breunis Van Holland and Chris Otten. Also surviving is the Meinen family and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents John and Johanna (Janssen) Kroesbergen, granddaughter Tanya Bouwmeester, grandson Jabin Meinen, brother Henk, sisters Aartje Van Holland and Joanne Otten and sister-in-law Bertha Kroesbergen.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 2-4:30 and 6-8:30 p.m. Those attending the funeral home visitation are asked to schedule a time at LockhartFuneralHome.com or by calling the funeral home at 519-348-8643. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Free Reformed Church, Mitchell on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. (scheduling not required for funeral service). Interment to follow in Bethel Munro Cemetery.
