LOUIS MALONEY

Louis Vincent Maloney, 85, of Mitchell and formerly of Seaforth and Dublin passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

Born in Seaforth on October 2, 1935, he was a son of the late Peter and Clotilda Maloney.

Beloved husband of Therese (Etue) for 63 years, dear father of Susan Heffernan (Ray) and Mary Lou DeBrabandere (Bob). Loving grandfather of Mark Heffernan (Jenn), Jolene Thomas (Keith), Stacey Eickmeyer (Dan), Katie Francis (Perry), Laura Swaim (Logan), Robin Scott (Andrew), Josie Scott (Craig). Cherished great grandfather of Kyle, Karly, Bryson, Raya, Cade, Ella, Tyla, Eli and Willow. Dear brother of Steve Maloney and Joan Hagarty (Jack). Dear brother-in-law of Louise Maloney, Susan Maloney and John Etue (Margaret). Also surviving are his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his son Joe (1980), great grandson Jack (2020), brothers Peter, Jim, Frank and John (Mary Margaret), sisters Margaret O'Rourke (Pat), Theresa Mederak (Harold), Mary Morrison (Leonard), sister-in-law Cecilia Maloney and father-in-law and mother-in-law Maurice and Mary Etue.

Lou was a business man operating several businesses over the years, including the Dublin Feed Mill and the Seaforth Laundromat. He also served on various municipal councils and enjoyed playing cards.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dublin on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Ronnie Tagnines officiating.
