Obituary for Lola Rohfritsch (Hiusser)
LOLA ROHFRITSCH
Lola Rohfritsch, 89, of Mitchell passed away at the Ritz Villa, Mitchell on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Linc Rohfritsch (2009). Loving mother of Sharon Eby (Stuart), Daryle Rohfritsch, Dale Rohfritsch (Cathy) and David Rohfritsch (Lisa). Cherished grandma of April Hexemer (Mike), Mark Eby (Bev), Kurt Eby (Ariel), Whitney Nuhn (Terry), Trever Rohfritsch, Jason, Megan and Steven Rohfritsch. She will be lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren. Dear sister of Elsie Doig and Carol Neilson. Dear sister-in-law of Lawrence Marks. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Hartman and Leona Hiusser, sisters Dorothy Marks and Phyllis Lamb (Harold), brothers Keith Hiusser (Betty), Ken Hiusser (Betty) and Clayton Hiusser in childhood, sister-in-law of Pearl Rohfritsch, brothers-in-law Robert Doig, John Neilson and Ken Rohfritsch.
Lola was employed at the Superior Store and EMA in Mitchell for many years. She was a longtime member of the Mitchell Golf and Country Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 128, where she enjoyed playing darts, cribbage and bowling. She also enjoyed playing bingo with friends and stopping for coffee at various Mitchell locations.
A celebration of Lola's life will take place at the Lockhart Reception Centre, 116 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Lola was a "Blue Jean Lady” and all attending are asked to wear their favourite pair of blue jeans. A reception will follow featuring some of Lola's favourite sandwiches and desserts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ritz Villa Redevelopment Fund or charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
