Obituary for Jack Cooke

COOKE, JACK

Jack Cooke, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Stratford Rotary Hospice. Dear brother of Laurine McIntosh, and Pearl Graver (Arnold). He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and faithful feline companion Mandy.

Predeceased by his parents John and Reta Cooke, sister Jean Butler, and brothers-in-law Oliver McIntosh and Bill Butler.

He was a proud author of the autobiography "Getting By In A Silent World" and went on to write two more. Family was everything to him and he took a special interest in knowing all the names and happenings in the family. He loved being a barber for over 50 years, many of his clients becoming life long friends.
Nothing made him happier than going out for a drive in his shiny red Mustang.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, May 12, 2022 for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Stratford Rotary Hospice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
