Obituary for Heidi Ramminger (Toellner)

HEIDI RAMMINGER

Heidi Ramminger, 71, of Mitchell, Ontario passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 with her loving partner Lyle Ward by her side.

Beloved mother to Darick (Ellie), Shawne and John (Heather). Devoted grandmother to granddaughters Alexis, Ava and Ireland. Deeply missed by brother Reinhard, sister Margaret, many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Heidi will also be sadly missed by many extended family members: Eldeen, Derek (Andrea), April (Derek), Devon (Sarah), Evelyn, Bentley, Lorne, Carter, Russell, Brayden and Natalie.

Predeceased by parents Eric and Lisbeth Toellner, sister Helga, brother Rolph, sister-in-law Sheila and nephew David.

Born on August 2, 1951 in Berlin Germany, Heidi and her family made their way to Canada in 1953, escaping the former communist East Germany and residing in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Heidi was employed at Schneider’s Meats for 8 years prior to moving to Mitchell. Heidi worked at Cooper Standard in Stratford for 21 years before retiring and worked part-time for Murphy Bus Lines driving school bus for 8.5 years.

Heidi was devoted to her grandchildren, spending as much time as she could with them here and in Alberta. She demonstrated her hard work and devotion everyday with her peers and colleagues and enjoyed engaging with people and making new connections. Heidi always enjoyed being around people and playing one of her favourite board games Mensch with a couple glasses of rum. Heidi also enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower beds. Heidi will be greatly missed by her life partner Lyle Ward with whom she has spent 13 wonderful years together. She adored her beloved dog Angel and had a special affection for all animals especially dogs and horses. Heidi brought so much joy to those around her and will be forever loved and missed beyond measure. Ruhe in Frieden, Liebe Heidi.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial Celebration of Life at the Lockhart Reception Centre, 116 Montreal Street, Mitchell, Ontario on Saturday December 3, 2022 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
