ERIC LUDINGTON
Eric Robert Ludington, 85, of Listowel, formerly of Monkton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 14, 2022. Beloved husband of Carole (Wurdell) for 57 years. Dear father of Kevin (Cindy) Ludington, Karen (Butch) Baillie, Murray (Dianne) Ludington, and Jeff (Nancy) Ludington. Proud grandpa of Katelyn, Craig, Kelsey (Evan), Conner (Jessica), Mack, Cody, Elesha, Galen, and Jackie. Great grandpa of Elise. Dear brother of Ross (Margaret) Ludington, Gordon (Barb) Ludington, and Doris Harrow. Brother-in-law of Judy Ludington, Cheryl Baillie, and Rose Wurdell. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Ken and Laura Ludington, brothers Fred, Alvin, Keith Ludington, brothers-in-law Jim Harrow, Barry Baillie, Wayne Wurdell, sisters-in-law Pauline and Audrey Ludington, nephew Paul Ludington, mother and father in law Harold and Margaret Wurdell.
He was a farmer for 25 years, he loved his animals, loved his family, and lived his life with kindness. He was a devoted sports fan and never gave up on his Leaf's. He enjoyed camping and going to the trailer at Windmill in Fullarton, he always had a smile on his face and was playful in all things.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Brodhagen.
