CORNELIUS "COR" VAN DER PRYT
Cor "Cookie" Van der Pryt, 86, of RR2, Dublin passed away peacefully at Huron Hospice, Clinton on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Beloved husband of Nellie Van der Pryt who he married on April 26, 1958. Loving father of Robert (Mary) and Jim. Dear brother of Frank (Cheryl) Van der Pryt and Joseph Van der Pryt. Dear brother-in-law of Diane and Rita Van der Pryt. He will be missed by the Van Dongen family and his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maria Van der Pryt, sister Dorothy Sterling (Bernard), brothers Theodore and John Van der Pryt and sister-in-law Monique Van der Pryt.
Cor farmed in Hibbert Township since 1958. He enjoyed gardening, his flowers, music and antique tractors. He was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dublin and of the church choir.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dublin from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Philip Joseph - Celebrant. Interment in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dublin. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Huron Hospice or charity of one's choice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
